Association of Protected Areas Management Organization (APAMO): Selected for participation in institutional strengthening activities.

PACT Foundation 2 (Nov 2010-Jan 2011): Continuation of maintenance and expansion of littoral forest, especially LF2 on the windward side; hiring of Ranger to conduct patrols, trail maintenance, assist with dry season watering, etc; conduct 13 school trips, including 9 Caye Caulker RC School and Ocean Academy trips.  Dry season trips students cleared trash washed up on the beach, watered plants and did trail maintenance and Experimental Forest site preparation work. Wet season trips focused on planting of littoral forest seedlings and Riley-Encased Mangrove propagules.  There were community plantings of mangroves as well. Also included was signage (1 Welcome at Base HQ; 4 in the Restoration sites; 1 Trail head sign, and 1 “Take only Photos; Leave Only Footprints”; and 4 official perimeter signs.); a complex Website; and a Project Financial Manager).


PACT Trust Support (Apr-Sep 2009):  Plant watering trips during dry season; major community Riley-Encased mangrove planting trip Sep 09.


PACT Foundation 1 (Sep 2007-Nov 2008): Littoral Forest site identification and preparation; Trail Restoration; experiments with mangrove planting; first experiments with Riley Encasement Methodology in mangrove restoration; one school trip to introduce students to planting LF seedlings.
